WindAc Africa 2018

The global energy transition away from Coal, underpinned by related decisive knowledge and policy shifts in the areas of climate, society and economy, is well underway. In this context SAWEA has begun to implement its next 3-year business plan to 2020 with a focus on achieving an integrated energy transition.

Under the theme of Knowledge for an integrated energy transition, the third annual WindAc Africa conference programme will consider a diverse range of technical, operational and socio-economic topics. As always, the conference is attended by a blend of national and international participants who will present their research and findings from practice. The programme includes presentation sessions in plenary, exhibits and many opportunities to network with academics, students and industry players. The conference will precede SAWEA’s annual Wind Industry conference Windaba, which takes place later that week under the theme Investment for an integrated energy transition.

Please join us for two days of dynamic, diverse, contemporary knowledge exchange in one of  World’s most beautiful cities.

WindEnergy Hamburg

This September the Global Wind Summit in Hamburg is the biggest and most important meeting of the wind industry worldwide. It combines the world’s leading expo for wind energy – WindEnergy Hamburg and the global conference of WindEurope to create a high-powered, unique platform for business, networking and information – onshore and offshore. These two top events, the expo and the conference, will be held side by side from 25 to 28 September 2018 at the Hamburg Messe site.

Exhibitors, visitors and conference participants are expected from some 100 countries. In nine exhibition halls more than 1,400 exhibitors will be present and some 35,000 trade visitors are expected. The WindEurope Conference, to be held inside the exhibition, features more than 500 speakers and presenters, providing a first-class programme on the issues facing the global wind industry for round about 2,000 delegates.
